iPhone OS 3.1.3 released
Apple has announced today the official release of iPhone OS 3.1.3, bringing with it a trio of minor fixes, including:
- Improved accuracy of reported battery levels on the iPhone 3GS;
- Resolved issues where certain third-party applications would not launch in select instances;
- and resolution to a bug that could occasionally cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana key set.
Users who have jailbroken their iPhone, however, should be aware that the new patch is not compatible with PwnageTool or redsn0w. The tools’ creators, the Dev Team, have released a warning to this effect:
WARNING! At 10.30AM PST on February 2nd 2010 Apple released the 3.1.3 version (7E18) of the iPhoneOS.
If you care about your jailbreak and unlock, don’t update your device – 3G and 3G(S) owners should pay particular attention to this warning.
- PwnageTool and redsn0w are not yet compatible with 3.1.3
- There is no estimated release time for compatible tools (please don’t bug us about this).
- Any information we have regarding this update will be posted here.

Sigh, another long wait for me….. I hate having to wait for the next RedSn0w to sort it out… but have no choice with the 1st gen iphone. This update sure will help all those who have 3GS but complain the battery dies too quickly. Seems like its just a calibration issue.
Im with yoo as well, while I did jailbreak my iPhone I only use the app categories. With over 100 apps on my iPhone at one time it’s impossible to find things
Categories allows me to create a folder name it games, and put all my game apps in there. Now I have a nice pretty screen with one page of apps/folders.
This is the #1 feature I want apple to incorporate into the firmware. Well this and backgrounder..
