iMargin Calculator Review
Today I am reviewing a handy little application called iMargin. Being a small business owner this application was perfect for me to review! This application is a very simple calculator that does some quick and easy math on the fly.
When you first open the application you are viewing a calculator that has several options on the screen. The options are all click able and you can put in your sell price and cost and immediately your margin percentage and your gross margin are show instantly. A handy feature incorporated into the software is the ability to shake the IPhone to clear the data!
The options menu provides you with some other items that you can tweak. You have the option to change the shake sensitivity for shaking the phone to clear the data. You also have the option to change the decimal points and to turn tips on or off. Finally you can choose the default field for data entry to sell, cost, margin, or gross margin.
After playing with this application for a while I can see that this will be useful for a number of things that I do on a daily basis. So if you are a business owner or do purchasing for your company, or even run an EBAY store, this application would come highly recommended from this business owner!
Overall this is a good application, the layout and the visuals are simply and clean. The ability to shake the calculator to clear data makes data entry even easier. The layout is familiar as it looks just like a normal calculator at the bottom, the top of the screen is where you enter the sell price and the cost, and the results are shown directly below the data entry section.

that purchase for a company or have a business where purchasing and margin calculation is important.

I could definitely use this app. I’m a Sales Manager at a store that buys and sells used computers. I’m dealing with this on a daily basis.
Does it allow you to enter the sell price and desired margin and then fill in the cost? Or can you only enter the cost and sell prices?
Hey there Chumbake! I checked out your question on the app itself and it does allow you to enter the margin that is desired. The software seems very flexible!
