Bubble Head Review
Bubble Head is self proclaimed as the ultimate cartoon flier, and while it does have some good things going for it Im not quite ready to call it ultimate.
The Objective of Bubble Head’s single player Arcade game is to simply complete 5 levels in 5 differently themed planets Medical, Forest, Fast Food, Sports, and Computer in the fastest time possible while collecting all 15 stars in each level.
However if your looking for more of a challenge you can play the random game mode which will have you competing in randomly generated courses for online ranked high score bragging rights.
The game is controlled entirely with tilt and the use of one finger. As you press down on the screen your character will move forward and when you let go your character will move back down the screen. You will have to find the right balance of speed by pressing and releasing the screen to help navigate between the obsticles scattered around the playing area.
There are additional settings for adjusting the tilt sensitivity, volume, vibrations, and sound effects in the main menu as well.
Graphically Bubble Head is fantastic, everything has a cell shaded cartoon feeling to it, with animated backgrounds and colorful objects. Bubble Head himself is detailed with animated eyes. This is easily one of the better looking games on the iPhone.
Audio wise the game is a mixed bag, while there is no theme or background music there are sounds effects whenever you press the screen or when you collect objects and crash.
Overall I found Bubble Head to be a decent game. The problem with the game is there just isn’t much variety to it. The gameplay is identical on all levels. The only thing that changes are the backgrounds and the objects scattered throughout the levels. I think the game could use a few more control features to mix it up.

Congrats to Floob the winner of the free APP
thanks alot!!
this game looks pretty good. I dont think it is that overpriced. There is a ton of junk out there for more money. Seems like a good game.
nice game
and nice review of course#
#thats all to say about^^
The squeeky sounds are cute. The gameplay is somewhat similar to dizzy bee.
Dizzy bee is scrolling left and right. But this game is scrolling from bottom to top.
Thats the only difference I can see.
the bubblehead character looks like a mosquito bumping around…cute! I should show this game to my nephew. He definitely will like it.
looks pretty cool!
seems a little reminiscent of “Up there.” Looks pretty fun and polished though.
ha, this game looks crazy. interesting enough that I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot. although it does look rather repetitive, but very unique.
Good review Glenn
this game may be overpriced but it looks pretty fun and seems like it is still a good game.
The cartoonish graphics are so awesome (dare I say cute?)and the worldwide online rankings are bad-ass!!
looks a little overpriced but seems like a good pickup and play game. Seems good for short intervals.
Yeah, I agree, it definitely seems a bit overpriced.
How come my first responce is always “awaiting moderation”?! Anywho, good review Glenn.
this seems kinda repetitive but looks cool.
Might be overpriced but it looks fun/funny
looks pretty good but it does seem overpriced from what i can see! Still seems like a solid game though.
Looks like it should be $1.
