Green Fingers Review

Flower power!  Do you have what it takes to keep your window sill growing?  This speed game will have you frantically switching pots in an effort to catch the needed ingredients.

gf1The game screen has five pots sitting in a window sill.  Various growing implements fall from the sky.  It is your job to make sure the proper item is lined up with the correct flower pot.  This is accomplished by simply swiping pot positions with your fingers.

The game grows in complexity as multiple items fall at the same time.  The ultimate goal is to get a flower to grow gaining points.  Players earn bonus points by getting multiple flowers to sprout simultaneously.

The game features accomplishments which track your progress as you advance through the game.  I was particularly impressed by the real time achievement updates.  It was nice to see you just “new high score” flash across as I played.  The game also features support for OpenFeint allowing you to see your friends and compare high scores.

Tgf2he controls work surprisingly well.  There were times when I accidentally switched the wrong flower pot, but those were far and few between.  The music is appropriately mellow for a gardening game.  The application thankfully lets you sub in your own tunes.

The graphics in this game are bright and colorful.  However, they really do not change much.

This game is fun and fast paced. However, it has the potential to get repetitive since the game play does not change much other than speeding up and adding multiple falling items.

The ability to post high scores and the quest for achievements do add replay value.  If you are looking for a solid speed match game check Green Fingers out.

Positives: Achievements, Fast paced challenging game play, Good value for the price point

Negatives: Repetitive game play (Mix it up some)

    it seems like a well made game but it looks a little too simple and repetetive. It would be good for the right person though.

    This one seems a little fruity, but for the right person, it could be a winner.

    @JCman7: I don’t like gardening…. :)
    I’m also not a fan when my wife makes me garden with her on weekends either! lol

    Needless to say, this doesn’t seem like my kind of game but for those that like this type of game, may enjoy it.
