iDracula Review
In iDracula You play the role of a Vampire hunter who quickly finds himself becoming the one hunted. Can you survive against the hordes of Vampires, Werewolves, Witches and even Dracula himself?
iDracula reminded me of one of my favorite classic games Smash TV albeit with a hefty does of Left for Dead included. If your not familiar with either of these games let me spell it out for you. The Objective of iDracula is to simply fend off the invading hordes and I do mean hordes of enemies that are hunting you down. As you kill the attackers some will drop upgrades, additional ammo, and health packs which should be used to help extend your longevity! iDracula is best described as an intense survival shooter. In fact it’s probably the most intense game on the iDevices hands down.
The game consists of two different gameplay modes. In Survival mode you begin with a simple gun and slow monsters, but as the time passes, they grow stronger and faster, dropping better weapons. The second gameplay mode is Rush where you start balls to the wall with a mini gun and tons of invaders as you just try to hang on as long as possible.
Both modes of gameplay offer offline leaderboards. This is something I hope is addressed in an update. Having online leaderboards give people a reason to play longer and compete against one another!
The game currently consists of six weapons such as a Pistol, Shotgun, Crossbow, Grenade Launcher, Machine Gun and the BFG, these are gathered throughout the game as you face tougher monsters. You have the option to slide your finger across the weapons to change them or simply allow the game to select the best weapon available. This can be changed in the options settings at any time.
As you fight you will gain “perks” these perks will allow you to upgrade your character throughout the game. Some allow you to do more damage, while others will boost your speed, or simply grant you full health. The perk system is great and allows you to have a different gaming experience each time you play it, adding to the replay value of the title.
You control your movements with a virtual pad on the lower left which can also be changed it the options. Aiming and firing of the weapons is done through the right analog stick.
Graphically the game is fantastic, even with the entire screen full of monsters the gameplay was smooth and flawless. The Backgrounds are crisp, and the lighting effects are all top notch. Easily one of the best looking games available.
The Music is decent as well, a dark techno mix with some rocking beats tossed in to up your blood pressure level just a bit more! The Sound effects are good everything sounds right from the screams, to the monsters growling and the weapons firing.
If I found one thing lacking in the game is that currently there is only on level. However the developer has already stated 2 additional levels, additional creatures, a new gameplay mode (Multiplayer PLEASE!) and an additional weapon are on the way for the future update.
It’s honestly hard to point out any negatives for this game, it’s addictive, easy on the eyes, and will get your heart pounding faster than a double latte. Fans of action games, vampire or zombie games, even tower defense games will absolutely love this game and it’s easily the best money you can spend on a game.
I guess if you made me point out a negative I would have to say the lack of any real campaign or story mode might be a turn off for some, but for the majority of us it’s easy to forgive this flaw once you play it.

I bought this game and its great. I wanted to buy it so wouldn’t have to pay more for the next update. oh I can’t wait.

I just picked this game up yesterday and i really love the smooth controls and fast paced gameplay. def worth a dollar.
i just got this app and so far i love it. It has great graphics that reminds me of fieldrunners(also recommended) and wicked fast paced gameplay. The controls also work well and for the price right now, i think its wel worth it

I feel the game is too focused on werewolves whereas the title says idracula. I am expecting to see vampires but didn’t manage to see any in the game video.
Mystery: is the character a vampire like the movie “underworld”? Can he morph into a large vampire with wings and fly and kill the werewolves around him?
This could be a great idea when one is tired of shooting the gun or bow.
if you get far enough you will see dracula, and he is wicked deadly.

This game looks NUTS!
I picked up iDracula and it’s really a polished game for one level. The controls do take a little getting used to, but the gameplay is amazing. Glenn, your review is on target (not that you usually aren’t), and other than not have a storyline, iDracula is a must-buy.
Ive been eyeing this game for a bit of time now and it seems for most it has met the hype. I will surely check it out at some point.
This type of game isn’t usually my cuppa but iDracula looks so bleedin’ good that I’m gonna have to give it a whirl.
i love the survival horror genre and although this game may not be too scary, it fits right it. Looks like a great game for a great value.

GET THIS GAME! It is an immense amount of fun for only a buck! The price will rise when the update hits so if you are thinking about it get it now!

The werewolfs do not howl. After they got shot, they should howl to be more realistic. What I hear mostly are the main character injured crys and gun shots sounds.
Vampires are my 2nd favorite undead fiend(first is zombies) I’m one of those who like story-lines so until that comes out in an update or something I’ll wait.

Great game. Though the title says idracula. The game is not so bloody as it seems. What I mean is the main character will not be bitten by the werewolf from the video and there is no blood if he gets hurt.
The werewolfs look too tame to be werewolfs. They ought to be on ravage mode.

what I heard on itunes is that the developers are coming up with 2 new levels with the update.
I don’t know when they going to raise the price to 2.99 but you can grab it now if you guys are interested in it at 0.99.
What I can see from the video is the shooting guns are fast but when you use cross bow, the shooting becomes slower. It will be great if the creatures have some immunity like some werewolfs are immune to arrows while some werewolfs are immune to gun shots. This makes the game more challenging instead of repetitive shooting because you can see the label of their immunity before u shoot them. This make the gamers think before shoot.
i love zombie games. THis looks like a great deal for $.99 and theres promise of future updates. Nice!

Come on Glenn, what are you doing to me. Saying it reminds you of Smash TV and Left 4 Dead. Now I need to go buy it; I’ll wait for your selected winners before I do it. Hopefully Chillingo releases a story for the game and more levels.
I’ve been watching videos of this game, and it looks kinda cool. I’ll probably buy it soon before it’s price increases, as stated by Chillingo.
I downloaded it this morning but haven’t got a chance to play it. Seemed like a no brainer for a dollar.

This is a PHENOMENAL game. I’m amazed how fun it is even with only 1 level. When it’s got more levels and stuff it would be mind-blowing. The fact that it is only .99 astounds me, and if you don’t get it now you’ll regret it!
Depending on sales, the dev has suggested that he will continue to update iDracula, but also may develop a full-on RPG version with storyline. But, iDracula, though it’s only one level know, looks visually great.
Although there may only be 1 level, this game looks bad a@@.
And with more to come, this may eventually be a must have.
