Monkey Bash Review
Bash your monkey as far as you can in Monkey Bash by Megatouch Games.
In Monkey Bash, your goal is to get the monkey to travel as far as possible. This is done by ‘hitting’ the monkey with the palm 
of your hand (Your in game character’s hand). You will need to time your swing in order to get the farthest possible distance traveled by the monkey.
The controls for Monkey Bash are extremely simple. All you need to do is tap the screen to hit the monkey and the game will do the rest. If you haven’t played games like Monkey Bash, you may not fully appreciate its gameplay. Simply tapping the screen and watching the game probably sound rather monotonous; however in the game it is surprisingly fun and addictive.
The graphics in Monkey Bash are, in my opinion, the best part of the game. They are very vivid, colorful, and absolutely nothing is pixilated. The animations are silky smooth and the graphics fit the circus feel of the game perfectly. To be honest, they are some of the most detailed and well done graphics I have ever seen on an iPhone game.
The menu in the game is simple, consisting of the game itself, options, help, and a leaderboard. The leaderboard is only local, however really needs to become global in order to compete with other similar app store games.
While in the game; the upper left corner will show your distance traveled thus far. When your monkey goes above the screen, a big circle will pop up in the middle showing your monkey in the clouds. It will also display how far he is above the top of the screen.
The audio in the game really makes you feel like you are at the circus. It features circus-like music as well as some cute monkey sound effects (May make the game more appealing to younger children).
The whole point of these types of games is not getting the best initial hit. Traveling a long distance requires hitting many of the power-ups scattered across the ground. In this game, those power-ups happen to be bananas, ramps, and trampolines. There are also barrels, which upon hit will stop your monkey dead in its tracks.
The only real flaw I can point out in this game is that the initial loading screen takes sometimes up to ten seconds to load. Not the biggest deal, but for a quick pick up and play game loading times are key.
Overall, Monkey Bash is an extremely well done and professionally made game. The game and its entire interface just scream ‘polish’. Whether the game’s concept is enough to yield your attention is up to you, however I can say myself that I am satisfied with the game.

Looks like a nice pick up and play type game.
i love kitten cannon! Having a game like this on my iphone would be really cool. It looks like a nice game to play for short bursts.
No offence but the monkey look dumb. It should be more lively and jumping. I think it is given the jab so it stays so docile to be whacked.
Nevertheless, I will like to try this game even though I might not win. More bombs or explosion should be placed in the track so that the monkey can move out further in the track.
i have a serious lack of quick play games on my iphone and it seems like this game could seriously fill the void. Kitten cannon online is alot of fun and this game is really similar apparently. Nice looking game.
Though I pity the monkey, this looks like a great game to have especially you need to vent some frustration over work.

I’ve been tempted to purchase this game since it came out, but I already have Flight of the Hamsters, and you actually interact with the flight as opposed to just launching and watching.
The graphics look great though.
seems like a nice pick-up and play game. Obviously you wont play it for hours straight but it you can always play a quick game on something like this.
is it like kitten cannon? or like spank the monkey?
