Tank-O-Box Review
Tank-o-Box is a new action-packed remake of a classic arcade battle tank game. With Modern 3D graphics, 3D sound and fancy game engine your guaranteed the ultimate iPhone and iTouch battle-tanking experience.
The game action takes place on the battlefield, where your tank and your enemies appear. Your mission is to destroy all enemy tanks and defend your headquarters.
The iPhone and iTouch version are a direct port from the PC and MAC version of the game with no lose in quality or fun!
The game takes place on an imaginary desk of a child between some sketches and office supplies. Tank-o-Box puts you in control of your tank that you must operate in battles against eight different types of enemy vehicles utilizing the different obstacles as cover while planning your next shot.
I must say, this game has really nice graphics! When the game starts you are looking top down at your tank, the terrain, and your enemy. The terrain consists of trees, broken down vehicles, fences, and buildings. You use a four-way touch pad at the bottom to maneuver your tank and a small button on the bottom right to shoot.
The game boasts 55 levels of fun between shooting different vehicles and protecting your base. These 55 levels take place on different terrain and also during daytime and nighttime.
You will also encounter several different power-ups while playing. These appear after destroying an enemy vehicle giving you shields and rockets. This is like the old school version of Tanks on crack!!
The one complaint I could level against this game is that the AI is basically no existent. The enemy tanks seem to be on a set path you can be right next to them and they turn around and move. Even when you fire on them they sometimes do nothing.
This really instant a huge complaint as once you get up in the levels there are enough enemies on the screen at once to make you forget about that!
Great visuals, great sound, and really fun game play! The 3d graphics show smoke, flames, and a destructible environment.
The sound is also right up there with really good explosion sounds, flames make a crackle sound, and fun background music.
Once I started in on this game I found it extremely hard to put down! It is really nice to have such amazing looking games on a portable device! I think anyone that is into playing these top-down view type of arcade shooters will really enjoy the game.

Controls are done with 4 way touch pad which is always hard for this review with fat fingers!!
Load times are a bit longer than normal.

Like a BUNCH of others has said: I love tank games! Crazy tanks, heavy Mach., iShoot the bunch of them. That kinda stinks that the enemies don’t attack you sometimes though…
i really love Tank Games. this game seems to be just like Crazy Tanks. I dont really like crazy tanks but it looks like i would have alot of fun playing this game! The graphics are good but i wish the controls where easier to use.. But still looks like a game that i have to have!
i agree with mini me. The graphics do remind me of payback. they are pretty nice and the persepctive is very similar. Seems awesome.
Another Tank Game???? Hmmm. I’m just wondering why there are so many tank games. Not that they are a bad thing. There just seems to be a bunch of them.
There are several tank games that come to mind including my favorite Crazy Tanks. But this one feels more like those kids toys set, and looks like a blast.

Great Tank game. This reminds me of world war 2 except the terrain is on a school boy’s desk. Hope I got a chance to try this wonderful game.

looks like a very hectic and entertaining classic tank game.
i was a little disappointed to hear that the conttrols arent very good but i have small fingers so it shouldn’t really be a problem for me.
long load times are annoying but the graphics are awesome and the gameplay sounds fun.
A update i would like to see is that you don’t have to click the arrows in the bottom left to move. You should be able to click the top center (would work as up button) then the left center (would work as left button) etc…

Love the tank games. I’ve got Crazy Tanks, Heavy Mach, etc…. considering iCombat, too. Can’t get enough. This one looks like a blast. Hope I get a chance to find out.
